Charcoal on Paper on Studio Canvas

This was once my favorite piece, it stuck out from the canvas like a marble sculpture. Then I made the mistake of using a cheap matte finish fixative. Which with each layer dulled the contrast until it became grey and lifeless. Soon I will take the time to completely redo it, but not yet. I’m still bitter.
