Patron Saint of the Lost

Acrylic, Oil Pastel on Particle Board

49” x 24”

This piece is very important to me. This was the first artwork I made after returning from a long solo trek in Italy. The painting is based off of my experience sleeping on the streets in several Italian towns. The refugees and homeless I saw huddled in corners warming themselves with tattered blankets and worn clothes.

When I came home I had no money, and the only large material I could afford to paint on was a sheet of particle board.
